She grew up in Belgrade, and has lived and worked in Baku, London, Dubai, Sydney and now resides in London with her husband and two daughters.
I was born as the third and youngest girl in a loving family in Belgrade, where I spent my formative years trying to achieve the all-around status of “one of the best students”.
The turning point came when I decided to discover my calling that would help me make a more meaningful contribution. I began the journey of letting go of what I was ‘supposed to do’ and started following what I desired to do. Although I already had five years of marketing career, I decided to continue my post-graduate studies in Human Resources and Organisational Psychology. The same year I gave birth to my second daughter, after having my first just 13 months earlier, and I finally shifted to a talent development role within the same big company. I stumbled upon a profession called coaching!
Coaching used my strengths, and it was a tool to help others in their self-discovery. It shook me to my core and left me more courageous of who I wanted to become. So I kept exploring.
I committed myself to self-growth and personal development throughout my career change process, challenging my inner beliefs. As a result, I discovered myself in ways I never knew possible by opening to the unknown. In other words, I began to trust my intuition and take actions aligned with my values, strengths, and desire to find my voice and have a broader impact.
My journey and coaching work led me to a deep understanding of women’s leadership and how coaching can support women in bringing their highest vision to life. Eventually, I left the corporate world and started my full-time coaching job in Executive Education at London Business School.
Finally, I decided to set up a leadership coaching practice and write the book Your Time to Shine – to give women and men inspiration and tools to awaken their greatness and shape the world.
Pro bono projects are an important part of my work. I collaborate with NGOs through fundraising, coaching, and mentoring to support women to work their way out of poverty.
In addition, I mentor aspiring and established coaches to empower their clients to engage in environmental and social issues. Thus, I continuously learn about the new opportunities to share the power of coaching with the world and positively impact society.
We can achieve more through meaningful collaborations. I regularly contribute to external taught leadership platforms to inspire purposeful action.
